Tuesday’s Eastern-date slate produced three NCAA Football FBS finals and three NBA finals across the five covered sports. All six games are complete. This is a recap of sports action and identified betting outcomes, not ISR’s paid-pick results.
NCAA Football FBS: two outright underdogs and a 99-point game
| Matchup / box score | Score | Status |
|---|---|---|
| MTSU @ FIU | Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 26 · Florida International Panthers 23 | Final |
| MOST @ DEL | Missouri State Bears 38 · Delaware Blue Hens 61 | Final |
| USA @ MRSH | South Alabama Jaguars 13 · Marshall Thundering Herd 20 | Final |
- Middle Tennessee 26, FIU 23: Terrence Brown ran 18 times for 158 yards and a touchdown. FIU quarterback JJ Kohl threw three touchdown passes, but Middle Tennessee won on the road.
- Delaware 61, Missouri State 38: Nick Minicucci returned to throw five touchdown passes, while Jo Silver ran for 101 yards and a score. Missouri State’s Isaiah Myers caught 11 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns.
- Marshall 20, South Alabama 13: Zion Turner accounted for 226 yards and a rushing touchdown. Marshall held South Alabama to 12 completions on 33 attempts and earned its first conference win.
ISR analysis: Tuesday’s largest total came from Delaware–Missouri State, but its 99 points were built by a specific quarterback return and explosive receiving production. Marshall–South Alabama produced a very different possession profile. Keep each path attached to the final rather than treating all conference results as one trend.
NBA: Detroit, Philadelphia and Oklahoma City open 1–0
| Matchup / box score | Score | Status |
|---|---|---|
| BOS @ DET | Boston Celtics 113 · Detroit Pistons 121 | Final |
| PHI @ NY | Philadelphia 76ers 106 · New York Knicks 100 | Final |
| OKC @ SA | Oklahoma City Thunder 116 · San Antonio Spurs 104 | Final |
- Pistons 121, Celtics 113: Cade Cunningham had 22 points and eight assists, Jalen Duren added 22 points and nine rebounds, and Duncan Robinson scored 21. Paul George led Boston with 38 points.
- 76ers 106, Knicks 100: Tyrese Maxey scored 28 points. Jaylen Brown added 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists; Karl-Anthony Towns led New York with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
- Thunder 116, Spurs 104: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points with six rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks. Victor Wembanyama had 12 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks but shot 1-for-13 from the field.
ISR analysis: Opening-night totals can hide dramatically different individual processes. Wembanyama’s defensive impact and difficult shooting night belong in the same evaluation, just as Boston’s 113 points must be read alongside Detroit’s balanced scoring.
