- Iowa wins in Seattle: The Hawkeyes beat Washington 41–24. Kamari Moulton ran 26 times for 208 yards and two touchdowns, and Jeremy Hecklinski threw three touchdown passes. Iowa finished with 263 rushing yards while Washington had minus-3.
- Louisville runs away from Florida State: The Cardinals won 44–20 behind 397 rushing yards. Isaac Brown carried 17 times for 235 yards and two touchdowns.
- BYU controls the yardage: BYU beat Iowa State 24–10 and held a 506–200 total-yard advantage. Bear Bachmeier passed for 329 yards and ran for 109.
- Two close Mountain West finishes: Utah State edged Washington State 17–16 despite being outgained 257–236. Wyoming beat San José State 16–13 with a 231–75 rushing-yard advantage.
ISR analysis: Iowa and Louisville produced repeatable advantages on the ground, but Utah State’s result needs more caution: the Aggies won a one-point game while losing the yardage comparison and converting 3 of 14 third downs.
NBA preseason: Houston shoots 55%, Memphis survives a cold Chicago night

- Memphis holds off Chicago: The Grizzlies won 104–100. Chicago shot 38% overall; Caleb Wilson scored 21 and Leonard Miller had 11 rebounds.
- Turnovers remained high: Houston and Memphis each committed 21 turnovers, another reason to attach preseason results to lineups and minutes rather than treat the final score as a regular-season forecast.
ISR analysis: Houston’s shooting was the clearest game-level advantage. The Memphis–Chicago result was shaped more by Chicago’s missed shots than by a clean offensive performance from either side.
